THIS SHELF IS DEDICATED FOR FICTIONSWhen my house completed in 2004, I've decided to dedicate room no 4 as a study room cum personal library. So far this is one of my favourite area in the house. I can spend hours in this room doing things that I really like which is READING.
The current number of books is 1500 (thanks to the warehouse books sales....) and for 2010 my aim is to add another 350 books. This will enable me to try reaching my ultimate target which is to have a total of 5000 books in 10 years time.
Looking forward to the warehouse book sales in 2010.

boss,jeles tgk umah boss ada personal library.as for me,since my house is small with limited number of rooms x dapat la nk ber"library" camni.buku anak2 pun terpaksa letak bercampur2 dgn benda2 lain.hihhiih...

Rizal, it a good culture to have a library of your own in the house. I did that and it still keeping books. Because of that my kids and now grand kids became readers too.
Reading is the only way for us to continue to acquire knowledge. I found not many Malay having a library in the house. We should encourage them to have a library however small their home is, there are always space for books.
BTW if we did know English we would not be able to read books. BM book are limit and most are love story only. So to continue to read we Malaysia must master English.

That's quite an extensive library you have in your home. I wish you success in meeting or exceeding your goal for the new year.
Nothing like the obvious value placed on books and reading that parents telegraph to the kids by having a home library and reading for pleasure in their presence. I see that in our kids and grandchildren who are all voracious readers. You should have heard their squeals of delight when they found gift certificates for Barnes and Noble among their Christmas presents!

i am speechless! and very proud of it. as said by pak idrus, it is truly difficult to find malay home with library.
i just have satu rak...aim to have one dedicated room as u do too aka my beading work studio :)
