I was told about the newly open home decor hotspot in PutraJaya. The Index Living Mall was part of the huge IOI Mall in Putra Jaya. The decor center has the same concept similar to IKEA. Going there at the moment could be logical if we're talking about weekdays since during weekend it's totally jam packed.

PAINTING YOUR WALL (THE CORRECT WAY)

I've tried once few years back and found it really really no that easy ...it's one of those things that look pretty easy to do but in reality it is not. So I come across one youtube video which really useful and worth a try.

Deko Bajet Raya (very practical)

This is a local TV show aired in 2010. I'm really interested to the concept of decoration with a small budget kind of theme which is very practical. The show also focus on furniture from the used furniture shop. And yes we do have few very good shops selling used quality furniture at a very affordable price.

ARTIFICIAL GRASS

I've tried numerous times to grow the real one but to no success. I'm not sure the actual reason for my failure but at the end of the day the grass cannot survive. I've heard over the news this morning that the government will try for the last time to use cow grass for our Bukit Jalil Stadium and if that's not working they might use artificial grass as the permanent solution.

Hmmm, interesting adn the latest technology permits the creation of artificial grass to be very similar (even better) with the real grass. Cost wise it's still a bit expensive but who knows few years down the road when it's more affordable Lot 4028 , Jalan Rebung will have it's own artificial grass installation.

SPIRAL STAIRS

My house is a single storey establishment, so there are no such needs of suing any stairs. But if in the future (who knows kan) when come the needs to create an attic (what a very cool idea indeed), probably the spiral stairs will be a good option.

My wife has a very big closet. My closet is probably half the size of hers. But we do share a common problem ...bad closet management. The above is very useful and probably a must for those planning for a new closet.

KUALA SELANGOR FIREFLY (PLANNING A FAMILY TRIP)

There will be a long weekend coming in a few weeks time (4 days break), and I'm planning for a quick and cheap break for the family. Although the distance between kuala selangor and our house probably not more than 30 mins drive , we've never been to the firefly park. So I'm finally planning for it.

TIDYING UP TV AREA

TV area or family area with TV is one of the most important area in any house. And commonly it's also the area where we least concern about tidying up. The DIY video although a bit complex for a DIY wannabe like me but could give us some basic ideas on how to improve the TV area.

SEWING ROOM

Next to Kitchen no 2 will be an additional room to the house. Size wise it's a bit small (in emergency cases could be used as guest room ). My plan is to use it as sewing room plus ironing room , and I think the plan is good since currently we're using the library as ironing room and the sewing machine is in my son's bedroom (kesian dia) ...

Probably the above example is extra ordinary and out of my budget but I can use some of the ideas ...

500 SQUARE FEET MANSION

500 sq feet might not be a big space but the above video show a designer transforming a 500 sq feet room into a 'mansion'. It's all about making the most out of what you've got.
