MUNJONG or berkunjung is an act of visiting neighbours during the last day of Ramadhan while sharing with them special dishes. This is a very traditional Malay Javanese event and for this year my family has prepared "NASI TOMATO" and lychee pudding as the MUNJONG dishes.
It started with the preparations of the 2 dishes and once completed it will be packed into plastic bag and will then be distributed accordingly. For this year we've prepared 15 pack. I've decided to assigned my kids to be the delivery team and it's cute looking at them going from one house to another to deliver the MUNJONG package.
Probably for next year we'll do something exotic and fusion ..hmmmmm any recommendation

dari apa yang akak nampak ini masakan ayam masak merah...nasi tomato mana ada pakai cili kering dik oiii..nasi tomato orang pakai tomato puree jer...hehehe
bagus lah kalau ada adat macam ni...mengerat kan tali silaturrahim sesama tetangga...tahun depan cuba panjang2 kan hingga sampai kerumah akak pulak ye,,,,
my kpg dulu ada acara cam ni but on hari yg ke 27 - bertukar2 juadah. Now mcm dah takde coz most of the elders/pioneers my kpg dah meninggal dunia

Mak saya di kampung Muor masih mengamalkan tradisi munjong nih. Selalunya ketupat & lauk pauknya akan dihantar kpd jiran2 dan saudara sehari dua sebelum Hari Raya. So untuk pagi raya, kami cuma buat ketupat sikit untuk makan keluarga. dan pagi tu kami pun tak le berebut2 nak menghanto ke rumah2 lain. diaorang pulak yg akan hantar ke rumah kami.
i kat kawasan poskod lain, tk merasalah nasik tomato ni yer? sob..sob...
