DIY ...something that I thought I could do it but so far it is not that easy especially for a non DIy guy like me. So this Ramadhan I've decided to give it another shot that is to paint a feature wall for my TV area.

After few discussion with my second in command we've decided to go for a very greenish green colour creating a very interesting contrast with the existing color. So after few hours including a littlw bit frustration here and there finally WALLLlAAAA my Ramadhan DIY is finally completed ..not bad eh ...

Rizal, dark color would reduce the illusion of space. It would have been better if you use any shades of white. Another thing you should do in interior decoration is the lighting, do away with florescent lighting. Use more table lamps with low energy bulb [yellow] lamp. Take care.

I share your feeling of exhilaration and accomplishment on completing a satisfying DYI project.
The floral arrangement adds a very nice touch.
As Pak Idrus could tell you, the interior of my house, as he recommends, is all one color: white. I happen to like its effect.
However, at least over here, it is more fashionable currently to paint at least one wall in a highly contrasting color, as you did. The effect can be quite dramatic, as you no doubt have noticed.
As for the lighting, over here incandescent bulbs will no longer be sold after this year, and already they are being replaced on store shelves by energy efficient fluorescent bulbs. Making a strong introduction too are LED's. The new fluorescent bulbs are designed to be used in those table lamps Pak Idrus recommends, as well as in decorative ceiling fixtures, replacing the usual tubes there. They do not look at all like the traditional fluorescents, give a different quality light and do not flicker. They are very energy efficient.

Thanks for your advise. Your suggestion on the table lamp will be taken into serious considerations (that is after looking at my Hari Raya budget).

hijau.. warna skunder yg dilahirkan hasil dari persenyawaan warna primer biru dan kuning. biru menyuburkan kelembutan dan ketenangan tetapi menzahirkan keberanian. kuning mengilhamkan segenggam keteguhan yang memayungi kesetiaan malah tangkas adalah sifat-sifatnya. bila semua ini bersatu, maka hijaulah peradabannya. warna pilihan yang mencerminkan kebenaran dan kesucian, yang memelihara seluruh isi rumah agar sentiasa ingat dan berdiri teguh dibawah maksud yang ingin disampaikan oleh encik rizal.
